FAQ
Can I play a PowerPoint file in the browser with its animations?
Yes. The engine renders each slide to HTML/SVG and steps through the click sequence: entrance, exit and emphasis effects, morph transitions and media.
Does it need a server or Microsoft Office?
No. Everything runs client-side. Serve the player folder from any static web server and open it in a browser.
Does it work offline or inside a native app?
Yes. It runs offline, and on iOS, iPadOS and macOS you can load the same folder in a WKWebView. Android and Electron WebViews work the same way.
What happens with a slide whose XML is broken?
The engine repairs stray & characters and plays the slide normally. If the XML is still broken, it renders what it can and reports an error instead of dropping the slide silently.
Is it a subscription?
No. One-time purchase, full source included.
Is there a free PPTX viewer for JavaScript?
Yes, for example @web-ppt/viewer-core and pptx-viewer. Pick this SDK if you want a single client-side engine with full source and no server, and you'd rather pay once than maintain a fork.
Which tier should I buy?
Developer is for one developer, and that includes shipping the player inside your own paid or free apps as bundled code. Commercial is for a company or organisation, where more than one person uses it, and adds priority email support. Neither lets you share the source itself. Both include the full source. One-time purchase.
What do I get after paying?
A zip with the full source, README and runnable demo. Polar shows the download right after checkout and in the receipt email.
One-time purchase.
