Pairy privacy policy
How Pairy handles screen content, connections, dictation, clipboard data, local storage, advertising and purchases. Available in English, Korean and Japanese.

This policy describes Pairy for Mac, iPad and iPhone, provided by Yooil Jang. It also explains the outside services the app uses. Pairy does not operate a server that stores your remote desktop content.
1. Screen content, audio and input
Screen frames, streamed Mac system audio, pointer and keyboard events, and dictated text travel over an encrypted connection between your devices. The Mac app needs Screen Recording permission to capture the selected display and Accessibility permission to deliver your input. Pairy does not upload this content to a developer-operated storage or analytics service. The receiving app may hold data in memory while it displays a session.
2. Tailscale connection
Pairy embeds Tailscale networking. Tailscale and the sign-in provider you choose process information needed to authenticate and connect your devices. This can include your account name and email address, account and device identifiers, device and host names, public keys, operating system and client version, IP addresses, and connection or diagnostic metadata. Tailscale processes this information under its own retention and privacy practices. Network relays carry encrypted traffic. Connection metadata is separate from that traffic.
See Tailscale's privacy policy and security information. Pairy's developer does not receive your Tailscale password. Signing in does not share your tailnet with the developer. If you sign in with an auth key, this device joins the tailnet of the account that created the key, and that tailnet's administrators can see and manage it.
3. iPhone remote mode and the local network
In iPhone remote mode, the iPhone finds an iPad that is already connected to a Mac over the local network, using Bonjour and MultipeerConnectivity. The iPad shows the iPhone's device name and asks its owner to approve the pairing. The iPhone sends pointer, scroll, keyboard, text, gesture and system-action input to the iPad. The iPad forwards that input to the Mac over the existing Tailscale session. In remote mode, the iPhone does not receive the Mac's screen or audio, and it does not connect to the Mac directly.
Pairing and input messages travel over the local network and are encrypted by MultipeerConnectivity. Pairy does not send them to a developer server. iOS asks for Local Network permission the first time you use this mode. You can change it in Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network. If you choose the iPhone viewer mode, the iPhone connects to the Mac through Tailscale, and the Tailscale section applies.
4. Dictation
Pairy requests the microphone and speech-recognition permissions when you use dictation. It uses Apple's Speech framework to recognize speech in your device language. Pairy requests on-device recognition when the device supports it. Otherwise, audio may be sent to Apple for recognition. Apple's handling of audio and transcripts is governed by its services and your settings. Pairy does not record audio files or send audio to OpenAI. Recognized text is delivered to the active input target on your Mac.
Read Apple's Siri, Dictation and Privacy information. You can stop dictation with the microphone button and revoke microphone or speech access in iPad or iPhone Settings.
5. Clipboard
From your Mac: while the Mac app is running, it records text you copy on your Mac and, without a separate tap, sends it over the same encrypted connection to the connected iPad or iPhone, where it appears in clipboard history. The Mac app keeps up to 50 recent texts in memory only and sends them to your device when it connects. They are cleared when you quit the Mac app or sign out. Pairy sends a preview of up to about 2,000 bytes to the device automatically. If you tap a truncated history item, the Mac app sends the full text, up to 1 MB. A copied image or file on the Mac can also be sent to the connected device. Items that an app marks as concealed, transient or automatically generated, such as passwords from a password manager that follows this convention, are not recorded. Text copied from an app that does not mark it, such as a one-time code, is recorded like any other text.
From your iPad or iPhone: the clipboard history paste button imports text into local history. When you tap the remote desktop paste button, supported text, a photo, a video or another file from the first item on your iPad or iPhone clipboard is sent to your Mac and placed on the Mac clipboard. Videos and other files are saved in the Downloads/Pairy folder on your Mac. Earlier versions of the Mac app used Downloads/MackyWay or Downloads/Paddleway. The remote paste control also records eligible text or photos in local history. Pairy reads the iPad or iPhone clipboard only when you use either paste control.
Pairy does not upload clipboard content to developer-operated storage or analytics. Its encrypted transport may use the relays described above. You can delete saved files from the Downloads/Pairy folder at any time.
6. Data stored on your devices
Pairy keeps connection credentials, Tailscale state and preferences such as display mode, touch sensitivity and drag behavior on your device. Connection secrets use platform-provided secure storage where implemented. Tailscale also maintains local network state. Local diagnostic and status files may include connection state, errors and frame statistics. An optional presentation measurement stores numeric timing and frame counters locally. Its report is shared only when you choose the share action. These files are not automatically sent to the developer. Local files remain until you remove them, and keychain items can outlast deleting an app.
On your iPad or iPhone, clipboard history stores up to 50 recent items, plus any items you pin. It holds text previews received from your Mac, text up to 256 KiB or photos up to 20 MB imported on that device, and Mac-copied images up to 20 MB. Other files sent from either device are not retained in this history. The history is stored only in the app's own storage on that device and is excluded from iCloud and computer backups. It is deleted when you use Sign Out and Switch Account in the app or remove the app. You can also delete single items or clear all unpinned items in clipboard history.
7. Advertising, tracking and the Remove Ads purchase
The iPad and iPhone app is free and supported by ads. Pairy uses Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) and Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP). Ads can appear as an occasional full-screen ad after a remote session ends. Pairy does not show ads over a live remote screen. The Mac companion shows no ads.
When Pairy prepares to show ads, it asks Google's UMP for the consent information that applies to you. If consent is required, a form appears before any ad loads. Pairy then asks for App Tracking Transparency permission when iOS reports that you have not decided yet. The Google Mobile Ads SDK starts only after these steps. If you decline tracking, Pairy does not receive the advertising identifier (IDFA) for tracking.
Google may collect and process information to serve and measure ads. This can include device and app identifiers, the advertising identifier when you allow tracking, your IP address, ad interactions such as impressions and clicks, and diagnostic or performance data. Google may derive an approximate location from your IP address. Google handles this data under its own privacy policy. Pairy does not receive your name, email address or payment details from Google.
You can change ad consent choices in the app when the UMP privacy options are required, and you can change tracking permission in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. Declining personalized ads or tracking does not remove ads.
Remove Ads is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase processed by Apple through StoreKit. Apple receives your payment information and handles the transaction. Pairy receives the signed transaction and entitlement status, not your name, card number or other payment details. You can restore the purchase with the same Apple Account. People who bought an earlier version of the app stay ad-free.

8. Choices, deletion and retention
Quit the apps to end use. Revoke Mac, iPad and iPhone permissions in System Settings or Settings. Remove Pairy devices from your Tailscale administration page to revoke their network membership. Removing the app alone does not delete your Tailscale account or all keychain credentials. Tailscale account deletion and retention requests go to Tailscale. In the iPad and iPhone app, Connection Settings > Tailscale Account > Delete Tailscale Account… opens Tailscale's deletion instructions. Apple service data requests go to Apple. Contact Pairy support for help removing remaining local app state. The developer does not keep a separate archive of your sessions to delete.
If you submit a support request, the information you provide is used to answer it and investigate the problem. The support tracker is hosted by GitHub, and public issues are visible to others. Its storage and account controls are governed by GitHub's privacy statement. This website is hosted by GitHub Pages, which may process request and access information. This site has no added advertising or analytics scripts.
9. Contact and changes

2. Tailscale 연결

Mac 앱은 최근 텍스트 50개를 메모리에만 두었다가 기기가 연결되면 보내며, 앱을 끄거나 로그아웃하면 지웁니다. 긴 텍스트는 앞부분(약 2,000바이트)을 기기의 기록으로 자동 전송합니다. 잘린 항목을 누르면 Mac 앱이 전체 텍스트(최대 1MB)를 보냅니다. 6. 기기에 저장되는 정보
Pairy는 연결 자격 정보, Tailscale 상태, 화면 모드·터치 감도·드래그 동작 같은 설정을 기기에 저장합니다. 연결 비밀값은 구현된 범위에서 플랫폼의 보안 저장소를 사용합니다. Tailscale도 로컬 네트워크 상태를 보관합니다. 로컬 진단·상태 파일에는 연결 상태, 오류, 프레임 통계가 들어갈 수 있습니다. 선택형 화면 표시 성능 측정은 숫자로 된 시간과 프레임 카운터를 기기에 저장하며, 사용자가 공유를 선택할 때만 보고서를 공유합니다. 이 파일들은 개발자에게 자동으로 전송되지 않습니다. 로컬 파일은 지울 때까지 남고, 키체인 항목은 앱을 삭제해도 남을 수 있습니다.

7. 광고, 추적, 광고 제거 구매
iPad·iPhone 앱은 무료이며 광고로 운영됩니다. Pairy는 Google Mobile Ads(AdMob)와 Google의 User Messaging Platform(UMP)을 사용합니다. 광고는 원격 세션이 끝난 뒤 가끔 전체 화면으로 나옵니다. 원격 화면 위에는 광고를 표시하지 않습니다. Mac 보조 앱에는 광고가 없습니다.

광고 제거는 Apple이 StoreKit으로 처리하는 일회성 비소모품 인앱 구매입니다. Apple이 결제 정보를 받고 거래를 처리합니다. Pairy는 서명된 거래와 이용 권한 상태를 받으며, 사용자의 이름, 카드 번호, 그 밖의 결제 정보는 받지 않습니다. 같은 Apple 계정으로 구매를 복원할 수 있습니다. 이전 버전을 구매한 분은 계속 광고 없이 쓸 수 있습니다.

8. 선택, 삭제, 보관
앱을 종료하면 사용을 끝낼 수 있습니다. Mac은 시스템 설정에서, iPad·iPhone은 설정에서 권한을 취소할 수 있습니다. Tailscale 관리 페이지에서 Pairy 기기를 제거하면 네트워크 접근이 취소됩니다. 앱을 삭제하는 것만으로 Tailscale 계정이나 모든 키체인 자격 정보가 지워지지는 않습니다. Tailscale 계정 삭제와 보관 요청은 Tailscale에 문의하세요. iPad·iPhone 앱의 연결 설정 > Tailscale 계정 > Tailscale 계정 삭제…에서 Tailscale의 삭제 안내를 열 수 있습니다. Apple 서비스 데이터 요청은 Apple에 문의하세요. 남은 로컬 앱 상태를 지우는 데 도움이 필요하면 Pairy 지원에 연락하세요. 개발자는 사용자의 세션을 보관하는 별도 저장소를 운영하지 않습니다.

1. 画面の内容、オーディオ、入力
画面のフレーム、Mac のシステムオーディオ、ポインターとキーボードの操作、音声入力で認識した文章は、デバイス間の暗号化された接続で送られます。Mac アプリは、選択したディスプレイをキャプチャするために画面収録の権限を、入力を届けるためにアクセシビリティの権限を必要とします。Pairy はこれらの内容を、開発者が運営する保存先や分析サービスにアップロードしません。受信側のアプリでは、画面を表示している間だけメモリに保持されることがあります。
2. Tailscale 接続
Pairy には Tailscale のネットワーク機能が組み込まれています。Tailscale と、利用者が選んだサインイン先は、デバイスの認証と接続に必要な情報を処理します。これには、アカウント名とメールアドレス、アカウントとデバイスの識別子、デバイス名とホスト名、公開鍵、オペレーティングシステムとクライアントのバージョン、IP アドレス、接続や診断に関する情報が含まれることがあります。これらの情報の保存と削除は Tailscale の方針に従います。中継サーバーは暗号化された通信を転送します。これは接続情報とは別のものです。

3. iPhone のリモートモードとローカルネットワーク

4. 音声入力
音声入力を使うときに、マイクと音声認識の権限を求めます。Pairy は Apple の Speech フレームワークを使い、デバイスの言語で音声を認識します。オンデバイス認識に対応していればその方式を要求し、対応していなければ音声が Apple に送られて認識されることがあります。音声と認識結果の扱いは、Apple のサービスと利用者の設定に従います。Pairy は音声ファイルを録音して保存せず、OpenAI にも送りません。認識した文章は、Mac の現在の入力位置に届けられます。

5. クリップボード
Mac から: Mac アプリが動いている間、Mac でコピーしたテキストを記録し、別の操作なしに同じ暗号化接続で、接続中の iPad または iPhone に送ってクリップボード履歴に表示します。Mac アプリは最近のテキストを最大 50 件、メモリにだけ保持し、デバイスが接続したときに送ります。アプリを終了するかサインアウトすると消えます。長いテキストは先頭部分 (約 2,000 バイト) をデバイスの履歴に自動で送ります。切り詰められた項目をタップすると、Mac アプリが全文 (最大 1 MB) を送ります。Mac でコピーした画像やファイルも、接続中のデバイスに送ることがあります。パスワードマネージャーなどが秘匿、一時、自動生成として印を付けた項目は記録しません。その印がないアプリでコピーしたワンタイムコードなどは、他のテキストと同じように記録されます。

Pairy はクリップボードの内容を、開発者が運営する保存先や分析サービスにアップロードしません。暗号化された通信には、上記の中継サーバーが使われることがあります。保存したファイルはダウンロード/Pairy フォルダからいつでも削除できます。
6. デバイスに保存される情報
Pairy は、接続の資格情報、Tailscale の状態、画面モード、タッチ感度、ドラッグ動作などの設定をデバイスに保存します。接続の秘密情報は、実装されている範囲でプラットフォームの安全な保存領域を使います。Tailscale もローカルネットワークの状態を保持します。ローカルの診断ファイルや状態ファイルには、接続状態、エラー、フレーム統計が含まれることがあります。任意の表示性能の測定は、数値の時間とフレームカウンターをデバイスに保存し、利用者が共有を選んだときだけレポートを共有します。これらのファイルが開発者に自動で送られることはありません。ローカルのファイルは削除するまで残り、キーチェーンの項目はアプリを削除しても残ることがあります。
iPad または iPhone のクリップボード履歴は、最近の項目 50 件とピン留めした項目を保持します。Mac から受け取ったテキストのプレビュー、デバイスから取り込んだ 256 KiB 以下のテキスト、20 MB 以下の写真、Mac でコピーした 20 MB 以下の画像が含まれます。それ以外に送信したファイルは、この履歴に保持しません。履歴はそのデバイスのアプリの保存領域にだけあり、iCloud とコンピュータのバックアップから除外されます。アプリのサインアウトとアカウント切り替えを使うか、アプリを削除すると消えます。項目を 1 つずつ削除したり、ピン留めしていない項目をすべて削除したりもできます。
7. 広告、トラッキング、「広告を削除」の購入
iPad と iPhone のアプリは無料で、広告によって提供されています。Pairy は Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) と Google の User Messaging Platform (UMP) を使います。広告は、リモートセッションが終わったあとに時々全画面で表示されます。リモート画面の上に広告を表示することはありません。Mac コンパニオンアプリに広告はありません。
Pairy が広告の表示を準備するときに、Google の UMP に利用者に適用される同意情報を問い合わせます。同意が必要な場合は、広告を読み込む前に同意画面が表示されます。続いて、iOS でまだトラッキングの許可を選んでいない場合に、App Tracking Transparency の許可を求めます。Google Mobile Ads SDK は、これらの手順が終わったあとにだけ起動します。トラッキングを許可しない場合、Pairy はトラッキング用の広告識別子 (IDFA) を受け取りません。
Google は、広告の配信と測定のために、デバイスやアプリの識別子、トラッキングを許可した場合の広告識別子、IP アドレス、インプレッションやクリックなどの広告とのやり取り、診断や性能のデータを収集、処理することがあります。Google は IP アドレスからおおよその位置を推定することがあります。これらのデータは Google のプライバシーポリシーに従って処理されます。Pairy は Google から利用者の氏名、メールアドレス、支払い情報を受け取りません。
アプリで UMP のプライバシー選択が必要な場合は広告の同意を変更でき、iOS の設定 > プライバシーとセキュリティ > トラッキングでトラッキングの許可を変更できます。パーソナライズ広告やトラッキングを拒否しても、広告は消えません。
「広告を削除」は、Apple が StoreKit で処理する 1 回限りの非消耗型のアプリ内購入です。Apple が支払い情報を受け取り、取引を処理します。Pairy は署名された取引と利用権の状態を受け取り、利用者の氏名、カード番号、その他の支払い情報は受け取りません。同じ Apple アカウントで購入を復元できます。以前のバージョンを購入した方は、引き続き広告なしで使えます。
リモートデスクトップの内容を販売することはなく、広告に使うこともありません。Google のプライバシーポリシーとGoogle Mobile Ads のプライバシー情報を参照してください。
8. 選択、削除、保存
アプリを終了すると利用を止められます。Mac はシステム設定で、iPad と iPhone は設定で権限を取り消せます。Tailscale の管理ページで Pairy のデバイスを削除すると、ネットワークへの参加を取り消せます。アプリを削除するだけでは、Tailscale アカウントやすべてのキーチェーンの資格情報は削除されません。Tailscale アカウントの削除と保存に関する依頼は Tailscale に行ってください。iPad と iPhone のアプリでは、接続設定 > Tailscale アカウント > Tailscale アカウントを削除…からTailscale の削除手順を開けます。Apple のサービスのデータに関する依頼は Apple に行ってください。残ったローカルのアプリ状態の削除について助けが必要な場合は、Pairy サポートに連絡してください。開発者は、利用者のセッションを保管する独自の保存先を運営していません。
サポート依頼を送った場合、その内容は回答と調査のために使われます。サポートの窓口は GitHub が運営し、公開の issue は他の人にも表示されます。保存とアカウントの管理はGitHub のプライバシーステートメントに従います。このウェブサイトは GitHub Pages で提供され、GitHub がリクエストやアクセス情報を処理することがあります。このサイトに広告や分析のスクリプトは追加していません。
